Wind farm plan refused

A CONTROVERSIAL wind farm proposal has been refused by Central Beds Council.

At a meeting today (January 5) councillors voted against the plans for a ten-turbine wind farm that had been submitted by The Co-operative Group.

Council officers had recommended the proposal be turned down, saying the development would lead to exessive noise impact on nearby homes.

Langford Parish Council had strenuously objected to the plans, saying it feared the wind farm would set a precedent allowing developers to site turbines much closer to homes.
