A woman was seriously hurt after falling through a glass door.

The incident happened at a home close to Shefford shortly before 5pm on Friday (July 11). The woman had received severe neck injuries in the fall.

The East of England Ambulance Service and Magpas Helimedix provided care at the scene before she was taken to Lister Hospital by land ambulance.

On arrival at the hospital the woman was in a serious but stable condition. She was then fast tracked into essential surgery.
