Budding chefs tested their skills in a cook-off.
The Henlow Academy students took part in a Future Chefs competition in which they had to prepare a healthy meal for under £5 in up to an hour. The results were judged by four members of staff including the head, Ray Payne.
He said: “The winner (pictured)created a dish which was well presented, provided a healthy balance of nutrients, was made with fresh ingredients and tasted delicious.”
The winner was Harriet Bailey, 12, with her chicken and chorizo pie, squashed potatoes and green beans.
