A Mildenhall man has cycled from London to Paris, raising £1,650 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Michael James, 44, began the gruelling challenge on July 24, reaching the French capital three days later.
“It was a difficult ride,” he said, “The hills aroundFolkestone and Calais were a nightmare. We rode for 80 miles a day for the three days. We got up at 5am and were on the road by 6am - we were then cycling non-stop all day.
“I am an avid cyclist and wouldn’t think twice of riding 100 miles in a day but Suffolk is the flattest part of England and I am out of practice on the hills.
“I would like to thank everyone who donated.”
