Opera favourites performed at choral society’s concert in Langford

Favourite works from the operas can be enjoyed at a concert in Langford.

The spring and summer concert being presented by the Biggleswade and District Choral Society (BDCS) will take place at Langford village hall on Saturday, May 21, at 7.30pm.

Opera Favourites will include an excellent selection of songs from popular shows and has been arranged by the society’s musical director, Karen Beer. Additionally, voices of several soloists will also add to the colour of the choir’s performance. Featuring in the concert will be Alison Chambers, Helen Rotchell, Simon Easton, Lucy Cookman, Tim Pestell and Ray Watson.

For the first time in the society’s history the singers will have the benefit of two keyboard accompanists, David Beer and Anne Wright.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £10 which includes light refreshments during the interval. Children under 12 admitted free.
