Prince touches down in district

HRH Earl of Wessex flies into RAF Henlow today

Crowds turned out to greet the arrival of a royal visit in the district this morning (Wednesday).

HRH The Earl of Wessex paid a flying visit to RAF Henlow, arriving by helicopter.

The Countess of Wessex was due to have accompanied her husband on the engagement but was unwell.

Prince Edward visited a busy childcare centre before taking in a display of station activities, and viewing the fascinating items on display in the Centre of Aviation Medicine, below.
