The Adventures of Robin Hood

Bows and arrows at the ready – it’s time to venture deep into Sherwood Forest.

This year’s pantomime at the Gordon Craig Theatre is The Adventures of Robin Hood.

Follow Robin, Will Scarlett, Little John and Much the Miller’s Son as they clean up at the annual archery contest, wind up the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham and rescue the beautiful Maid Marion from his evil clutches – and all without laddering their tights!

Robin’s adventures will be brought to you by Jordan Productions. The company has been creating high quality plays, musicals and pantomimes since 1993 and the same team put on Beauty and the Beast at the venue last year.

The star of our show has previously played one of the most evil characters ever to appear in soapland and he is therefore the perfect casting for the dastardly Sheriff.

Brain Capron, Richard Hillman in ITV’s Coronation Street, is an award winning actor who has even won the Best Villain category at the Soap Awards.

He also has West End experience having starred as Nathan Detroit in the famous Donmar Warehouse production of Guys and Dolls.

He is joined by West End star Tracey Penn from Love Never Dies and Legally Blonde. She plays Robin Hood and the hilarious David Dobson is Will Scarlett.

Making a return to the Gordon Craig stage is Ray Griffiths, who starred as one of the seven Dwarfs in the theatre’s 2010 production of Snow White.

And of course who can forget the Gordon Craig’s very own Christmas institution, Paul Laidlaw, who has kept audiences entertained over the festive season in Stevenage for over 25 years!

The Adventures of Robin Hood runs from tomorrow (Saturday, December 1) to Sunday, January 27.
