Pupils at a lower school had the chance to use Harry Potter’s very own magic.

Staff at St Swithun’s Lower School in Sandy arranged for education providers, the Science Boffins, to visit on Wednesday, April 2.

Children in Years One to Four were involved in making exploding rockets, ice cream, Harry Potter magic and magic soap.

This formed part of their science and environment week‘s work.

Miss Mangold, science co-ordinator, said: “The children were inspired by the awe and wonder of the learning opportunities and were blown away at what can be made using a few simple ingredients.”
