Stroke club’s cruise along the Ouse

Life on the river sweet for stroke survivors.

Members and friends of the Ivel Stroke Club enjoyed a four hour trip along the River Ouse on the Bedford Community Boat. The trip went from Priory Marina in Bedford to Kempston and included a ploughman’s lunch on board.

Pat Whiteaker, the Ivel Stroke Club’s secretary, said: “The staff and crew were very helpful and efficient.”

Transport for the event was arranged by the Biggleswade and Sandy Lions using The Sandy Talk of The Town Bus which can accommodate wheelchairs.
