Teachers step up for the splat

Schoolchildren had the chance to get their own back on the teachers.

Each of the classes at Caldecote Lower School were challenged to raise £15, enough to train someone to read for the first time, to support the Mothers’ Union’s ‘Make a Mother’s Day’ fundraising efforts.

The Year Four class landed upon a Splat the Teacher session, which caused great excitement amongst the children. They decided which teachers they wanted to splat and then donated money to splat their chosen teacher. Mr Cox, their class teacher, raised the most.

Other classes’ activities included guessing the missing colour on Elmer, a cafe for parents and a teddy bear and book stall.
