Your Biggleswade Chronicle doesn’t just write about your community – we champion it, too.
In Chronicle Country we are blessed with hundreds of people who give their time and efforts for free to help their neighbourhood and the people within it.
Local newspapers up and down the country do an incredible amount to support charitable efforts in their distribution area. And yes, let’s blow our own trumpet for once, the Chronicle is the undisputed community champion in this part of the world.
And as we celebrate Local Newspaper Week it’s a suitable time to celebrate this support for local good efforts.
We were delighted to partner the Christmas Feed The Need appeal - providing food for families over the festival period.
The Beds Young Person of the Year – YOPEY – awards showcase the efforts of younger people and we’ve been proud and privileged to promote the many worthy names who are put forward.
And you can see the many individuals doing selfless things all year round in our regular charity question and answer features.
These are local people doing good work on the ground, helping others and it’s clear the Chronicle, your local newspaper, is still the best way to broadcast their work and their appeals.
