A serious music lesson during the roaring '20's
It looks as though music was taken very seriously at Sandy C of E School in 1925.

Miss Curtis sits at the piano while behind her lined up are her singing class:

back row from left - Sid Turnbull, George Gaskin, Muriel King, Joy Evans, Alice Young, - Brown, Nancy Ball and Lilian Cope;

second row - H J Hooper, Harry Lovel, Jim Rycraft, Olive Wilsher, Muriel Cope, Mary Randal, Gwen Truin and Georgina Hudson;

front row - R Usher, Phillis Berridge, Lilian Goss, Elsie Deacon, Grace Clow and Tessie Hallworth.

Thanks go to Shirley Peacock for the picture.

This story appeared in an autumn issue of Memory Lane.
