Could your group benefit from a little extra cash in 2010?
If the answer's yes, make sure you sign up for the Biggleswade Chronicle's popular Community Cash Points Scheme for 2010!

As the economic climate remains tricky for us all, signing up is the easiest way of earning a little extra to buy something
special for your group..

The cash points scheme is open to all voluntary organisations in the Chronicle circulation area.

More than 60 took part in 2009 including churches, scouts, toddler groups, WIs and retirement groups to name but a few.

The idea is very simple.

Each week we publish two Community Cash Points on page two of the Chronicle.

Participating groups should encourage all their members, and friends, to cut out and collect the cash points every week and hand them in to a designated co-ordinator.

Every quarter we ask each co-ordinator to send all their points to us so we can keep a running total. At the end of the year all the points are totted up and turned into cash, at the rate of 1p per Cash Point.

We then tell each group how much they have collected – and they can then spend that sum on an item, or items, of their choice for the benefit of the group. It really is that easy!

All organisations that took part in 2009 will be invited to take part again but if you haven't got involved before, now's your chance.

Simply email jim.stewart@jpress.co.uk to register your group's interest. We need your group's name, plus your contact details.

Alternatively you can write to us at Cash Points, Biggleswade Chronicle, 7 High Street, Biggleswade, Beds SG18 0JB. The closing date for registration is February 19.
