Memories of school presentation at Holmemead in Biggleswade
The elegant lady in the hat and gloves presenting Steve Rook with the Victor Ludorum cup (Memory Lane, September 5) was Nancy Chessum.

Pauline Edwards rang to say she recognised her cousin who she calls 'Aunty Nancy' and when shown the article, Nancy, who is now 90 years old, could clearly remember the occasion.

Nancy's husband Tom Chessum was involved with Holmemead school and following his death in 1963 Nancy was asked to present the cup.
