Hundreds turn out to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice

Hundreds of people turned out to a Remembrance service in Biggleswade to pay their respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Around 500 people took part in a parade to Biggleswade's cenotaph in memory of those who died during the two world wars and other conflicts.

Chairman of the Biggleswade branch of the Royal British Legion Wendy Smith said: "There were more people in the parade and more wreaths laid at the cenotaph.

"I think the support that is always given in Biggleswade shows how much people respect the memory of not only those that died in the two world wars but those that are still fighting in other countries and have indeed been killed there."
