Stotfold pupils get a lesson in life!

Here comes the bride – and she is just six years old!

Little Millie Elliot was the blushing bride at a mock wedding ceremony organised for children at St Mary's Lower School in Stotfold, and tied the knot with six-year-old groom Robert Seymour.

Children from Year 2 formed the bulk of the wedding party, with youngsters from Year 1 acting as bridesmaids and page boys at the service officiated by Rev Pat Quint at the church.

Millie arrived in style with the father of the bride in a vintage car, and the children enjoyed a reception back at the school where wedding cake was shared with parents and staff.

The project was part of the pupils' religious education designed to show how religious ceremonies are used to mark important occasions.
