BLUES: Gillanders set for spell on the sidelines

Bedford Blues have recieved a blow with the news that Gregor Gillanders will be out of action for six weeks after a scan revealed he has suffered a stress fracture to his ankle.

Director of rugby Mike Rayer makes four changes to his team for the Championship clash with Bristol at Goldington Road tomorrow.

Dan Richmond returns at hooker in place of Chris Locke, Paul Tupai comes in for John Harlock at lock, Myles Dorrian starts at 10 in place of Brad Davies and Ian Vass comes back into the starting XV in place of Liam Roberts.

Elsewhere on the injury front, Alex Brown picked up a slight injury playing for Saracens, but is likely to be back in action shortly while Mike Guess had a successful operation on his ankle injury although no date has been set for his comeback.

Nick Walshe should be running soon, but Marco Cecere is still sidelined with a shoulder problem.
