The Butcher Shield is this year taking place between Blunham and Southill Park, and the match starts at 6pm.

The Shield sees the winners of last year’s Heritage Cup and East Beds Shield clash. As Blunham won both competitions, their opponents should have been Eaton Socon, who they beat in both finals.

Meanwhile Blunham progressed from the first round of this year’s Senior Shield after beating Langford. Blunham scored 138- 6 off their 16 overs with Langford falling just nine runs short on 129-7.

Potton’s tie with Cople was due to be played last night (Thursday).
