When Baltruschat strode to the crease at the end of the 25th over, his team were already well placed at 144-3.

But then in a remarkable display of power hitting, he smashed 14 fours and four sixes in an unbeaten 110 to power Henlow to an unassailable 285-5 in their 40 overs.

There were also important runs from all-rounders Lee Ownsworth (80) and Wayne Bilcock (41).

Dunstable were never likely to chase down this imposing target and closed on 138-8 with spinner Scott Spicer claiming 5-9 in his eight overs.

In Division One Langford made easy work of beating Lutonian.

The visitors chose to bat but aside for some big hitting from opener Harmain Asif (37) the innings collapsed to 92 all out. Like Peters took 4-17 and Davy Shippey 4-24.

That total was never going to be a challenge and Frank Simpson, Conor Robson and Thomas Taylor all scored 22 as they won with eight wickets in hand.

Sandy stumbled to a four wicket loss at Great Barford & Mowsbury in Division Two. They were put into bat and soon put to the sword, Ben Howlett top scoring with 27 in a total of 114.

Great Barford wobbled at 2-1 and then 29-4 as Harry Chinn and Darren Wheatley removed the top four batsmen.

However Bob Margetts made 26 and Michael Davis was unbeaten on 26 at the end as they made it past the total in the 43rd over.

Jake Foad took 4-34 and top scored with 44 in Clifton II’s five wicket win at Riseley in Division Two.
