Ickwell pile on the runs at a sun-soaked Green

Ickwell won the toss and batted first. They took full advantage and went on to make a total of 338 all out with several batsmen making good contributions.

Skipper Milin Gandhi (77) led the way and was top scorer and later runs came from Harry Fallows (61), Ross Cunningham (65) and Ben Faulkner (44).

In reply top scorer for Godmanchester II was Jim Lunn (89). Abdul Satti (4-35) was leading wicket taker for Ickwell as he got amongst the later batsmen and the visitors were dismissed for 234. Ickwell won by 104 runs.

Southill Park romped to a ten wicket victory at Hampton. They took the decision to field first and although the hosts put on 24 for the first wicket, once Lee Hoggett had removed Jon Dee for 28, caught by Ben Wallis, shortly after the innings subsided.

Hoggett helped himself to the top four wickets as Hampton fell from 35-1 to 36-5. And only some late order runs pushed the total up for 91.

Hoggett ended up with 4-21 off ten overs, with George Darlow taking 2-14.

The Park openers were in no mood to hang around. Ben Slater smashed 64 off 42 balls, with Darlow contributing 25, as they reached their target in the 14th over.

Waresley IIs were unfortunate to slip to a two run defeat at home to Castor & Ailsworth.

Batting first, Phil Masdin was the top Waresley scorer in a score of 142 all out.

Castor & Ailsworth put on a half century opening stand in reply but Philip Gillett took three wickets to stem the runs. Pat Ellerbeck also took three wickets but the visitors clambered over the line in the 38th over.

In Division Two Blunham IIs enjoyed a five wicket success at Peterborough IIIs.

They bowled the home side out for just 115, with Daniel Jones and Conor Hurman both taking four wickets.

Both Blunham openers went cheaply in reply but Ben Jeffs provided the match winning innings, scoring an unbeaten 57 to steer his side home.

Biggleswade fought back in style to overcome Huntingdon & District in Division Three.

At Fairfield they put their visitors into bat and Huntingdon made excellent progress to 151-2. But then Biggleswade ripped through the order.

The visitors were soon 154-6 and eventually closed on 186 all out, with Jonathan Furlong taking 3-34, Adam Dagless 2-32 and Mick Dagless 2-19.

Biggleswade openers Conor Smith and Adam Dagless put on 126 for the first wicket.

Dagless scored 63 off 56 balls before being bowled.

Adam Lawrence then linked up with Smith (66) and they put on a further 47. Biggleswade reached their target with seven wickets in hand.
