Fielding first against a powerful Wisbech side, Waresley made full use of all four of their spinners. Wickets were shared around, with Nigel Buckingham-Jones (10-5-13-2) the pick of the bowlers as Wisbech were skittled for 110.

After tea, the Waresley opening batsmen set about the Wisbech seam attack. Only spinner Gary Freer (6-1-20-2) troubled the batters, as they reached the target in only 23 overs with eight wickets intact.

There was a welcome return to form for wicketkeeper Alex Scully (59*), who also had a superb game behind the stumps.

Elsewhere in Tucker Gardner Division One it was another heavy defeat for bottom side Blunham.

They were put into bat at Ketton and crumbled to 35-5. Tom Burns (37) and Callum McGlynn (21) then offered some resistance but Blunham were all out for 112.

It took Ketton just 21 overs to polish off the runs for the loss of just one wicket.
