Ryan Lovell smashed the ball past Craig Lewis in the fourth minute to give Irchester an early lead, before Potton had a good appeal for a penalty turned down when Jamie Berryman was brought down in the area but the referee waved play on.

The equaliser arrived in the 48th minute from a long throw by Sam Sabey which Nick Finney headed home from close range.

And just one minute later, the ball was played to Berryman whose low shot from 20 yards went just inside the post to give Potton the lead.

Potton pressed for a third but Irchester levelled things up in the 68th minute when Chris Gell curled the ball past the helpless Lewis from 20 yards.

Potton were not to be denied the win, though, and in the 76th minute the ball came to Gary Ansell-Carter who fired home an unstoppable shot from 30 yards, giving the keeper no chance.
