Arlesey beat Waders in Bank Holiday derby
Arlesey Town beat local rivals Biggleswade Town 1-0 on Easter Monday to throw themselves a lifeline as they battle to stay in the Southern League Premier.
Effiong headed home the only goal of an lacklustre derby in the 66th minute.
But it may be too late to save Arlesey from relegation as they remain four points adrift of Frome Town and Biggleswade Town with an inferior goal difference and just three games left to play.
