Brentford trial a success for Stotfold keeper

Stotfold manager Steve Young believes teenage goalkeeper George Darlow has a bright future in the game following a successful trial at League One side Brentford, writes Sam Vernon.

The 16-year-old played in a friendly for the League One side on Thursday last week after impressing for Stotfold’s U18s, reserve and first team.

Young said: “The trial was a great experience for him.

“He was up against a couple of other U18s goalkeepers so there was some competition but he did himself proud.”
