Arlesey Town boss Zema Abbey has praised his prolific striking duo of Chris Dillon and Drew Roberts, writes Mike Simmonds.
The pair have scored nine of Blues’ last 11 Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division goals, to lift the club into the top six.
Abbey said: “Drew was a proven goalscorer at this level and has come in and done it again.
“Chris is one of the best at this level at holding up play and bringing others in.”
Abbey isn’t resting on his laurels though and has moved to strengthen his squad’s frontline as he has signed Stamford striker Ricky Miller and winger Adamson Ajayi.
The Blues are due to host league leaders Leamington this weekend and if the game goes ahead, Abbey wants to banish memories of an earlier defeat.
He said: “We’re hopeful of clearing the snow and if the game doesn’t go ahead it won’t be because of that.
“Anyone who can come down with a shovel is welcome too.”
The club are offering free entry to the game for anyone who comes along to help clear the pitch.
