The home side enjoyed the majority of the early possession without threatening the visitors’ goal. However an error by the Langford keeper allowing him to be caught and out-jumped by Pat Mosca, who headed home the opener from close range.

The Reds lost what composure they had – they could not strong two passes together, nor did they win many 50/50 balls anywhere on the pitch. Hillingdon continued to press with Mike Willis hitting the bar. Then in the 29th minute Dan Mehmet found himself in space in front of goal and chipped Jaward for 2-0.

It took until the 42nd minute for Langford to have their first shot at goal, an effort into the side netting from John Vooght.

The second half started much the same as the previous half had with Hillingdon quickly on the attack. But in the 57th minute a defensive error gave Langford’s David Tembua possession wide on the right, he cut inside, beat two defenders and shot past the stranded Atwel to give the visitors hope.

However it was short-lived as within two minutes the home side’s two goal margin was restored as Roco Faux James latched onto a long clearance and shot home from five yards.

Four minutes later the game was effectively over for a poor Langford side when Andre Etienne found space on the right and his fierce shot beat Jaward.
