Sandy Ladies win cup thriller at Harvesters

Sandy started well playing down the slope. On 27 minutes Pearl made a storming run from left back that forced a hasty attempted clearance from the keeper which hit Pearl and ricocheted to Jemimah following up and so she just slotted the ball in the net.

The didn’t last long as the hosts hit back with two goals in a minute on 35 and 36 minutes.

In the second half Sandy went after the equaliser and on 57 minutes Faye, in her first game back with the team, made a great run down the left and crossed for Amber to equalise.

Harvesters took the lead again when a clearance hit the attacker and looped back over Amie’s head.

This just spurred Sandy on, and player of the match Pearl played a one two with Amber and then raced in to score. And as extra time loomed Chloe put in a good cross on 85 minutes for Amber to get the winner. They meet Sherrardswood at home in the quarter final.
