Stotfold went down 2-1 to ten man Berkhamsted in the SSML Premier on Tuesday night.

Visitors Berko made the breakthrough on the half hour mark when skipper James Baldry released Frankie Jowle, and Alex Campana was on hand to connect with the cross and score.

The lead only lasted 10 minutes, however, as Paul Morris galloped forward from left back and smacked the ball into the net from 20 yards out.

The visitors were left a man short when Dan Edwards was dismissed for retaliation in the second half..

But with quarter of an hour left, the 10 men restored their lead when Tom Carter brought down a good pass before turning inside his man and shooting past Adam Harpur.

Stotfold host St Margaretsbury on Saturday and London Colney on Monday.
