Young Boys ousted on penalties

A 2-0 victory over Shefford Pirates had set up Sunday’s semi-final clash against Supreme Spartans at Harvey Close.

At full time the sides were locked at 2-2, with Jack Boyd and Jake Wallace on the mark for the home side.

The tie went to spot kicks – and Spartans triumphed 6-5 to set up a final against Queensmen at Kempston Rovers FC on April 29.

In M&DH Insurance Services Premier Division action Shefford Pirates lost 6-2 at home to Toddington Rovers, Jake Renney and Alex Toye scoring for Pirates.

Dean Parratt scored a brace and Jack Warwick one in Roxton’s 3-0 victory at AFC Flitwick – they remain well clear at the top of the MDH Teamwear Second Division.

In the Tavistock Sound & Vision Third Division Biggleswade-based Stratton Eagles came out losers in a nine-goal thriller at home to Burnaby Arms Bedford. Paolo Fregapane scored two, and Carmelo Colucci and Alessandro Ruggiero one apiece, in the 5-4 defeat.

AFC Shillington U21 took an 11-0 hammering from Barton Rovers and remain bottom of the John Bailey Under 21 Division.
