Ladies football round-up

Luton Town Ladies moved to the top of the South East Combination League with a comfortable 3-0 home triumph over newly-promoted Old Actonians.

A mixture of wasteful finishing and desperate defending kept Luton at bay for the opening 40 minutes, but the deadlock was broken when Nicola Henman unleashed a powerful 25-yard shot that cannoned off the underside of the bar and over the goal-line before bouncing back into the arms of the goalkeeper.
