RUGBY: Bedford Blues 53 Birmingham & Solihull 25

Winger Ian Davey helped himself to four tries as Bedford Blues got back on track in the Championship with a 53-25 win over winless Birmingham & Solihull at Goldington Road this afternoon (Saturday).

Luke Fielden (2), Alex Rae and Duncan Taylor also scored, while Brad Davies hit a penalty and two conversions.

Canadian international James Pritchard also chipped in with three conversions.

It was a welcome win for the Blues, who had suffered back-to-back defeats against Bristol and London Welsh.

Next weekend, Mike Rayer's side are on the road at Rotherham.
