Bottom of the table Biggleswade pulled off an unexpected but tremendous 17-13 victory over fifth-placed Market Harborough at the weekend, to make it two wins from three games.

The visitors had already beaten the likes of Dunstablians and Leighton Buzzard, but Biggleswade produced a gritty display to tough it out on an afternoon where conditions were poor for running rugby.

Biggleswade’s forwards were on top from the first scrum shunting their opponents back and it was this method that the hosts scored both tries.
