Southill Park 2nds book place in Junior Shield Final
Will it be Potton or Henlow 2nd XIs facing them at Ickwell?
Southill Park 2nd XI booked their place in the East Beds Junior Shield final with a 39 run victory against Ampthill Town 2nds on last night (Wednesday).
They made 147-7 before bowling out Ampthill for 102 and now face the winners of tonight's other semi-final between Potton Town 2nds and Henlow 2nds which starts at 6pm.
The Junior final itself will take place on Ickwell Green on Wednesday, July 15.
Also being staged tonight (Thursday) at Henlow is the East Beds Senior Shield semi-final between Ampthill Town and trophy holders Biggleswade Town.
In the other half of the draw, Kempston Hammers await the winners of tonight's quarter-final tie between Ickwell and Caldecote with the semi-final scheduled for Henlow next Tuesday (June 30) at 6pm.
The Senior Shield final is to be staged at a neutral ground on Wednesday, July 8 once the finalists are known.
The final of the Heritage Cup will be played at The Hollow next Friday (July 3) between Potton Town – who beat Caldecote with a last ball six last Thursday! – and holders Ampthill Town who knocked out Kempston Hammers in Monday's semi-final tie.
