TUESDAY: Potton bow out of Hinchingbrooke Cup

Rokermen lose but United win, Reds game is called of

Potton United bowed out of the Hinchingbrooke Cup at the first hurdle tonight (Tuesday) as they lost 3-0 to UCL Premier Division side St Ives Town.

The first half remainded goalless but three minutes into the second period Shane Fox opened the scoring.

On 57 minutes a Carl Foreman cross was converted by Matt Baniser and in the 76th minute Banister netted his second for 3-0.

It is the third sucessive season that Pottion have bowed out to the Saints.

In the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division, Stotfold travelled to Hertingfordbury Park where they went down 2-1 while Langford trip to Creasey Park to pl;ay Dunstable Town was postponed due to vandalism at the ground.

As for Biggleswade United, they hostedd basement boys St Margaretsbury

at Second Meadow where they enjoyed a 3-1 win.
