Griffiths Cup Final on Thursday at Biggleswade
THURSDAY evening will see the annual Griffiths Cup match played between the winners of the East Beds Junior Shield and a Biggleswade Chronicle XI.
The newspaper's team has been selected by Blunham's Neil Wildon and features players from various local clubs. They will face Southill Park 2nds who managed to retain the charity shield for a second successive season last month.
The match is played at Biggleswade Town Fairfield ground staring at 6pm and afterwards at Biggleswade United FC's Second Meadow where there will be a charity prize raffle and a barbecue.
All proceeds go towards the East Beds Cricket Shield Charity fund which benefits around a dozen local charities annually.
