December is starting with a carol concert

Kick-start your festive celebrations with a choral concert.

The Amici Singers, who are based in Biggleswade, will be giving a Christmas concert on Saturday, December 1.

The highlight will be a sequence of English carols arranged by the conductor, Douglas Coombes, who is also a well known composer. It is called Nowell Sing We.

There will also be a mixture of old and new music from the female choir including carols for audience participation.

BigglesFM broadcasters will present the music.

Additionally, there will be carols from a new chamber choir. It was formed by Douglas at the request of Den Hann of male voice choir, Shannon Express, of which Douglas is the president.

The a cappella choir has 14 members who sing under the name of Ensemble of Friends.
