The first is Driving Mr Diddy by Mary Brannon is a comedy staring Linda Winfield, Geoff Fagg and Lee Masters.

The second is Silent Night by Colin and Mary Crowther is a great drama, based on a true event.

It sees an ordinary family waiting out an air raid in their Anderson Shelter when a bomb hits and in the aftermath, the family wait to meet their maker.

As they sit in their cramped, corrugated iron ‘home from home’, old tensions and new revelations are examined in the dim light of a storm lantern.  As dawn rises, we find out their final fate.

The Chip Van Plays Dixie by Robert Iles is a poignant comedy set on a bench where two strangers meet. Performed by Letchworth Settlement Players.

It sees Gary as a local man who has lost his wife and Babs is a woman on her way to Australia who feels she has lost everything.

But in the end they find they share more than they would have expected.

A spokesman for HATS said: “Book early to avoid missing out on this fantastic evening of local entertainment.”

Performances runs from Thursday May 19 to Saturday May 21.

Doors open at 7pm and curtain rises at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £8 for adults and £6 for concessions.
