The sun will rise for four acts at a pub in Potton

The first Performers and Pints event of the year comes to The Rising Sun in Potton at the start of next month.

Kody Lake, Hazeyjane, My Girl The River and Oscar Corney will play at the pub on Saturday March 4.

Bedfordshire based Kody Lake are currently writing and recording their own Nashville inspired material for their debut EP. The band is led by lead vocalist Rosalie Swain and guitarist Charlie Luscombe.

Hazeyjane are an acoustic singer songwriter duo featuring Chris Brown and Kevin T Ward. They describe their music as self-penned ambient chilled acoustic material.

Third up is My Girl The River from Bedford via Covington in Louisiana, they are a singer songwriting duo with Kristine Wilkinson Hughes on lead vocals and guitar and her husband, Joe Hughes on the double bass.

Their music is americana, alternative country, folk and roots.

The final performer is Oscar Corney, a singer songwriter from Cambridge.

His songs get played on BBC Cambridgeshire and the BBC Introducing network of shows, He has performed at Ronnie Scott’s, the Cambridge Rock Festival, the Junction in Cambridge, various venues in London and at the Secret Garden Party Festival to name but a few.

The music starts at 9pm and finishes about 11.30pm. Entrance to the event is free, but donations are welcome which goes directly to the musicians.
