Bevy of acts to play at pub

Music lovers can enjoy a rock night to remember in one Chronicle Country town on Saturday (November 10).

The Gardener’s Arms pub in Biggleswade has lined up a host of acts to perform as part of its music night.

Faded Jade, Boo Sells and Adam Falconer will be among the acts performing, and the event will be headlined by Get Carter.

The four-piece Brit pop and rock covers band were formed just a year ago and play tributes to the likes of Oasis, The Jam and Kings of Leon.

Also in Biggleswade, the classic rock theme will continue at The Rose pub on the same night.

Four-piece rock outfit Piston Groovy are on the bill and promise a varied set of decent quality.

A band formed a year or so ago, The Mojo Slide will also be appearing at The Red Lion pub on Saturday.

The five-piece outfit came together after being united through their shared passion for blues-inspired alternative music.

The band write all of their own tracks and play a blend of classic rock and roll, blues/rock and blues-rooted alternative music.

They have recently finished recording their first album and will be playing some of their new tracks live.

Rock and roll will also be heard at The Old Oak pub in Arlesey on Saturday, courtesy of Melvis.

Lovers of rock covers can also check out 7twenty7 at The Five Bells in Cople on Saturday.

The band have a wide-ranging repertoire of classic covers, spanning pop, rock and much more.

Acoustic sounds will be heard in Henlow on the same night, at The Engineer’s Arms courtesy of Hex.

Classic soul will also be on the agenda at The Sugarloaf pub in Meppershall on Friday, courtesy of The Soul Man.

Punters can also enjoy covers of various styles at Potton & District Club on Saturday.

Bazooka Joe are a five-piece act who have an extensive array of classic covers in their arsenal, having played together since the 1990s.

A formidable covers set will also be heard at The Roundabout Club in Sandy on Saturday, including classics from Queen, Kasabian and Blink 182 among others.

Catch The Mighty Hub Whipley at the venue from 9pm.

Covers soloist Victoria Strange will also be performing at Sandy Conservative Club on the same night.

A weekend of live music in Stotfold will include a performance by covers band Short Measures at The Chequers pub on Friday.

On Saturday, meanwhile rock and blues covers from the 1960s right through to the present day will be on the bill at The Coach and Horses pub in the town.

Fingerprint are the band due to play at the pub.
