It’s just as well then, that stalwart of the genre the Soul Man will be entertaining music fans in Chronicle Country – Arlesey to be precise.

The Soul Man will be serenading punters at the Old Oak in Arlesey on Saturday (January 11).

The man needs no introduction but pub-goers will enjoy classics from the likes of George Benson, Luther Vandross, Barry White and the Drifters.

Heroes Journey will be performing at Potton & District Club, also on Saturday, while mod, rock and indie sounds will be heard at the Bridge in Shefford, also on Saturday.

Milner play classics dating from the 1960s to the present day, while the five-piece will also perform original material as well.

They have been playing live for more than 15 years now and will often include lesser-know tracks in their repertoire to spice up their sets.

They are mainly influenced by the blues, 1960s rhythm and blues, soul and jazz with plenty of indie and rock thrown in for good measure.
