Book your place at Bedford SportsAid lunch

TIME is running out for you to book your seat at one of the most prestigious fixtures in Bedford’s summer calendar.

The Bedford SportsAid lunch takes place in the marquee at Bedford Rugby Club on Friday, May 11.

Tickets are selling well but there is still a chance for you to buy yours - either for your company or as individuals - in this Olympic year.

Jamie Baulch, the former Olympic 400m athlete, is the guest speaker at the event which is sponsored by MacIntyre Hudson, The Embankment Hotel, Woodfines, Bedford Blues and the Times & Citizen.

The lunch is to support the sporting chances of the borough’s Lucy James, a rising star in the field of 400m running herself.

And organisers of Bedford SportsAid lunch are putting out a special invitation to any former athletes from the borough who have taken part in a previous Olympic Games to get in touch. They would be welcome to attend the lunch as a guest - and should contact the committee straight away via email at [email protected]

The event begins at 12.30pm and lasts for two hours.

Tickets for the lunch cost £27.50 per person, or £275 for a table of ten. For details and to book please email Sally Peck at [email protected] or Nicola Adcock at [email protected]
