Seasons Fruit & Veg is celebrating 10 years in business this month and has thanked its loyal customers for helping it on its journey.
The Shefford-based company was established in 2010 by local husband and wife team, Terrie and Jerry Rushbrook.
The couple is passionate about bringing locally grown produce straight to the door of the public, and offer a wide selection of nutritious fruit and veg, butchers’ boxes, dairy, home baked good and lots more.
Owner, Terrie Rushbrook said: “We are so thankful for all our customers’ loyalty and business over the years.
“We are so proud to be able to support and provide for the local community, local businesses and collaborate with many companies.”
Whilst supporting the local community, Seasons Fruit & Veg also fundraises for St John’s Hospice in Moggerhanger, a charity close to the family’s heart.
And with the help of money donated by customers, it helps children and families in food poverty – the money donated provides families with healthy, nutritious fruit and veg boxes and snack boxes to those who need it.
In addition to Seasons Fruit & Veg, Seasons Kitchen was opened in the heart of Biggleswade town centre, an old-fashioned deli and greengrocer providing customers locally grown, plastic-free produce.
The building will also host social events such as cheese and wine nights, cooking demos and workshops from May 2021, and the on-site chef will create the old classic Bedfordshire Clanger and other seasonal delights along with hot breakfasts and lunches which can be enjoyed with a cup of tea or a glass of wine outside the shop.
Later on this year, Terrie and Jerry are looking forward to opening a cheese and wine cellar – a beautiful discovery they found whilst bringing the building back to its historic, original state.
