A village festival in its sixth year is to provided a wide variety of entertainment today (Saturday)
The Meppershall Festival 2015 will have music, street dancing and cream teas served throughout the event.
People going along are being encouraged to take their dancing shoes.
There is no need to be shy and you don’t need to be experienced to take part or even have a dance partner.
There will be two dance classes, the first of these is street dancing with the doors opening at 1.45pm with the class running from 2pm to 3pm.
The second class is traditional folk and country dancing with the doors opening from 3.30pm and it runs between 3.45pm and 4.45pm.
Alternatively people can come along and watch the dancing.
There will also be the famous St Mary’s tea, coffee and cake for sale.

The festival will be finished off with a concert in the evening.
Among the performers are local people including children playing various instruments, the school and village choir, young pianists, à capella quartets, some Abba, Flanders & Swann and an acoustic guitar solo.

Alternatively the tickets can also be bought in person from Rogers Bakery and Village Stores.
Proceeds from the event will go to a number of different village and local groups, including the Need project which provides food packages and support to the people who need it the most in the local area.
