70 watches stolen in Sandy

Burglars helped themselves to around 70 watches while the victims were asleep at the property in Swithun’s Way.

Detective Constable Jason Wheeler, investigating, said: “These watches vary in price but hold huge sentimental value – some date back to the 1960s.

“They may well be sold locally and I would appeal to dealers, shops and traders to be vigilant and to call police if they are offered them for sale.”
