Agency staff raise Â£64k for Macmillan

Staff at the Biggleswade estate agency office have joined colleagues across the region to raise more than Â£64,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. The funds have been collected over the last two years by teams at the 24 offices of Country Properties, and will help many people living with cancer, their friends and families.

Staff decided to support the funding of the new Lister Macmillan Cancer Centre in Stevenage and their fundraising helped to open the doors of the new centre.

Ian Wilson, from Country Properties, said: “We are very proud to have been able to support such a worthy cause and raise a fantastic amount over the last two years by holding various events across our network and also by donating £10 for every For Sale or To Let board that has been erected.”

Many staff, including Ian, have taken on their own personal challenges including a 24-hour peak challenge, a lido challenge, Pink Party. Collectively they have raised £64,331.55 and this could help Macmillan in many ways, such as funding a Macmillan nurse for 14 months.
