The managers and staff at Sainsbury’s got into full swing for Comic Relief, raising more than £6,000 in the process.

The managers were told to get into stocks set up at the front of the store and staff had fun getting into fancy dress, while another chief had sponges thrown at him in a paddling pool.

The fundraising included hamper raffles, a game of guess the sweets, and a lucky dip for the children

One of the store staff had her head shaved on the day, Friday, March 24, raising more than £2,000 of the sum collected.

There was a treasure chest for children and a scavenger hunt was set up around the store.
