The appliance of science

The science behind printing was the focus of an after school activity afternoon on Monday last week.

Pupils and their parents at Caldecote Lower School in Upper Caldecote learned about how words and images can be printed on a variety of different items as part of the workshop.

The Ampthill-based Develop firm helped to organise the event, where parents and their families could print on objects like mouse mats, coasters and mugs.

The workshop formed part of Central Beds Council’s Wider Family Learning programme where children and their parents are encouraged to learn new concepts together.

Kevin Greenwell from Develop said: “We talked about the science behind the printing and labelling and how many objects you can use.”
