The blog aims to prove that travelling with young children need not be a nightmare by documenting her travel
adventures with 13-month-
old son James and husband Carl.

The tot is already a seasoned traveller, with a 13-hour flight to Texas under his belt as well as numerous shorter trips around the UK.

Emma explained: “I’d tried blogging before but never found a subject that I really connected with. I love travelling and had always travelled a lot. When I had my son I didn’t want to give that up.

“We try to go away every copuld of months.”

Emma, who has visited over 50 countries across six continents, offers tips for other parents as well as featuring their stories.

She added: “We’ve had really good feedback. Lots of
travel writers talk about children who are a bit older and people think that when they’re little you can’t go far or do
as much.”

A seasoned writer as well as traveller, Emma is the author of Gap Years: The Essential Guide and has written for The Times, Guardian and Independent.

And her top tip for travelling with a tot?

She says: “I guess my first top tip would be to say it’s not going to be the same as it was before; you can’t watch that long film on the flight and you can’t spend hours sunbathing by the pool.

“But that doesn’t mean it’s any worse, it’s just different.

“You have to plan a little more but there are lots of adventures you can have.

“Focus on the things you can do rather than the things you can’t.”
