The RSPB in Sandy will be holding two Big Garden Birdwatches this weekend.
On Saturday they will hold an event at Jordans Mill from 11am until 3pm while on Sunday they will hold another birdwatch at the RSPB Lodge in Sandy from 10:30am to 2pm.
You can see if you can add to the day’s bird and wildlife list as well as getting useful tips on identifying the birds in the area on both days.
Friendly RSPB staff and volunteers will be on hand with family activities, face painting, information on giving nature a home and feeding garden birds.
You will also be able to join a guided bird walk setting off at intervals throughout the events or join in with the hour long Big Garden Birdwatch survey on the day.
These outside events are dependent on weather conditions on the day.
There is also a café on site at Jordans Mill for hot drinks, snacks and meals at the Saturday event.
At the Sunday event children can get mucky hands by making fat balls to take home to feed their own garden birds. Donations will be welcome on the day and there is a small charge for fat balls.
Booking is not required for either event.
