Biggleswade road closed after 999 call
FIREFIGHTERS closed a road to traffic after a burning smell was reported at a flat.
Hitchin Street in Biggleswade was closed at the market square end at around 5pm on Tuesday (May 3) after two Bedfordshire and Luton Fire and Rescue Service appliances were called to the address above Gunns Bakery.
An office worker nearby dialled 999 after noticing the smells.
